Welcome to my homepage about error coins!

There are basically three types of error coins:

Striking errors happens when the coin is struck between the two dies. .

Die errors are created when there is something wrong with the dies. There
can be parts of the die that is lost which creates so called cuds. Dies can have wrong position from each other wich creates a rotaion between obverse and reverse.

Planchet errors are errors on the planchet. It can be wrong planchet intended for
another coin or it can have parts missing when the planchet is cut out from the roll. So called clipped planchets.
